Global Talent Service
A solution to the tech talent shortage
Trusted Referral Partner: The AQT Facilitates International Talent Recruitment for Tech SMEs
To support the growth of the technology sector, the AQT works closely with federal and provincial governments, guiding eligible companies toward two services that streamline international talent hiring: ESDC’s Global Talent Stream (Category A) and IRCC’s Dedicated Service Channel. Only companies referred by designated partners, such as the AQT, can access these services (subject to approval by ESDC and IRCC based on current criteria).
GLOBAL TALENT SERVICE
Accelerate International Talent Hiring
The Global Talent Stream (GTS) allows companies to quickly fill in-demand positions by hiring highly skilled foreign workers, with a target processing time of 10 business days.
Before contacting AQT for a referral, please ensure you meet the following requirements:
- Your company’s AQT membership is active and in good standing;
- Your company has identified a foreign candidate;
- If the position you wish to fill is listed under the Global Talent Occupations List (Category B), an AQT referral is not required. You can begin the process by simultaneously submitting your Global Talent Stream application and your Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) application;
If the position you wish to fill is not listed under Category B, please complete the form below and contact AQT to obtain a referral.
DEDICATED SERVICE CHANNEL
Benefit from Personalized Support
The Dedicated Service Channel is a concierge service that pairs eligible businesses with a government account manager. This point of contact will provide dedicated support to help with the following:
- Informing you about available immigration program options;
- Providing explanations of processes;
- Connecting you with the relevant operational staff in Canada or abroad (if applicable);
- Coordinating your file and, if necessary, communicating with the various stakeholders in the process (ESDC, MIDI, SC, or others) to ensure seamless processing;
However, please note that the Dedicated Service Channel does not process or prioritize requests, nor does it make immigration decisions.
