Laurent Duvernay-Tardif

Former NFL Player, Medical Resident, and Philanthropist.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, a retired NFL player who played 9 seasons as a right guard for the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets, is the first active NFL player to earn a medical degree. The athlete-student was already making history in 2014 when he became the 10th Canadian and the first Québécois in 15 years from a Canadian university to be drafted by an NFL team. By winning Super Bowl LIV, Laurent added the Vince Lombardi Trophy to his honors. His journey is so unique that the American newspaper Kansas City Star named him "the most interesting man in the NFL."

In addition to being recognized for his sports achievements, Laurent stands out for his philanthropic involvement in the fields of health, culture, and education.

In 2017, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif co-founded the LDT Foundation with his partner Florence-Agathe Dubé-Moreau to promote educational success in young people by offering programs that combine art and sports. In 2021, he took over the family bakery Le Pain dans les Voiles with his friend and agent, Sasha, and other partners, proudly continuing the family adventure.
