Montreal (Quebec), June 16, 2023 – The AQT is pleased to announce the opening of the call for applications for the Bourses Jeunes Entreprises. These scholarships aim to increase the chances of success for young tech startups in Quebec by stimulating the creation of business opportunities, offering training in relevant fields and facilitating contact with major players in the tech industry.

It was during the annual members’ BBQ in Montreal that David Hervieux, Chairman of the AQT Board of Directors, announced the return of this initiative, which has already successfully supported several companies that are now well established in the Quebec business landscape. and technologies. Financed for the year 2023-2024 by voluntary contributions from members to the AQT Succession Fund, the Young Business Scholarships, worth more than $6,000 each, include:

  • 1 year AQT membership;
  • 1 subscription to an AQT discussion group;
  • 1 pass for AQT flagship events (Big Bang and Vision PDG);
  • 4 passes for other AQT activities;
  • Personalized support offered by experienced members to discuss best practices in management, strategy, finance, human capital or marketing.

Applications for the Young Enterprises Grants are open to all Quebec firms with less than five years of existence and operating in the technology sector. They must demonstrate strong growth potential, a clear vision of their development plan and be in the marketing process. An independent jury, made up of members of the AQT, will evaluate the applications taking into account good practices in terms of diversity, inclusion and social involvement of the applicant companies.
